Before the Las Vegas Strip became one of the world’s most unmistakable skylines, all the action happened to its north, in Downtown Las Vegas. The first gambling halls, saloons, and the city’s first stoplight were all "Downtown". The area stretches from the northern end of the Strip by The Strat, where 80-foot-high illuminated form a gateway to the vibrant neighborhoods of Downtown including: Fremont East, The Arts District, and the Fremont Street Experience.
